No one said it would be easy, but if we’re going to live long healthy lives we must learn and be intentional in doing what is beneficial to the environment. Unfortunately, finding out what is the correct way to dispose of paint has truly been a challenge.

It seems that almost no one knows or they don’t agree. The process differs from city to state to country. Some of that is due to their own knowledge or resources.

I wanted to be able to walk you through a simple step-by-step process that was clear and concise but I haven’t found one. The best I can say… is to check with your local household hazardous waste disposal regulations.

If the paint is still good and able to be used… don’t through it away. Give it to a friend or donate it to an organization that will use it. There are also used art supply stores throughout the country that are like thrift stores but deal only with art supplies. If you live close to one donating it to them is a great option.
